Meet the Team

RHIZA is made up of people, not a platform.

Our team of dedicated account managers is here to support you every step of the way, delivering what’s needed to support precision farming on your farm.

Our team members have a background in agriculture or are FACTS qualified and are here to help interpret the data and assist with the decision making throughout the year.

South Account Manager

Andrew joined RHIZA earlier this year as an Account Manager for the South and comes with a wealth of agricultural experience in his back pocket. He has over 10 years of experience in the sector including practical on-farm work as well as 5 years working as an agronomist, providing the perfect marriage for a digital and precision role. Andrew wanted to take the plunge into precision agronomy because he is passionate about the environmental impact of farming; his interest lies in using all the tools that RHIZA has to offer to benefit soils, farms, farmers, and the wider environmental footprint of UK agriculture. When he’s not out crop walking, you can find Andrew following his favourite sport, rugby – he’s a keen supporter of both Bath and England.

Morayshire Account Manager

They say farming is universal. Andrew would be able to tell you, having worked on a large-scale farm in the USA for four years, a farm in Australia, and then multiple farms back in the UK while studying for his degree in agriculture. He says it’s so he could be certain he wanted to be an Agronomist. We say he just loves to work on farms, doing anything and everything. Of course, it also supported his love of travelling too!

Ludlow Account Manager

After eight years with RHIZA, Ben still loves what he does. Having previously been active in Young Farmers, stock judging and even a stint in public speaking, he decided to turn his interest in agriculture into a more technical role, gaining experience in precision agriculture both in the UK and abroad for more than twenty years. He’s been a RHIZA Account Manager and Agronomist ever since, covering Shropshire, Herefordshire and Wales. When Ben’s not roaming the Welsh borders that he loves to call home, you can find him hiking in the hills, shooting and working his gun dogs, or wild swimming – he loves going, whatever the weather!

South Anglia Account Manager

Ben might not have grown up on a farm, but with a dad who’s an agronomist, you’re bound to pick up a few things. Although perhaps it was the idea of riding quad bikes across fields all summer that first saw him take a job in agriculture to help him through university? Either way, Ben realised he loved being outside and loved ag-life and soon followed a path focused on soil health and GIS/remote sensing, working his way from summer field operator to full time account manager with us. He loves tinkering with tech in his spare time or telling anyone who’ll listen how his village rugby team is better than the nation of Canada.

Yorkshire Account Manager

Charles has a wealth of agricultural experience under his belt, having lived and worked on farms all his life. His knowledge of livestock as well as previous work on mixed farms with sheep and arable crops makes him a perfect all-rounder as a RHIZA account manager. Having a passion for agriculture and not enough to keep him busy on the farm at home, Charles joined RHIZA to be in a role where he is dealing with farmers and helping to increase productivity on a daily basis. Five years on and he’s never looked back! You can’t say he doesn’t love the great outdoors. If he’s not out with his boots on the ground for RHIZA, you’ll find him in his whites on the cricket pitch or out shooting in the countryside.

Lincolnshire Account Manager

Having grown up on the family farm in Ireland, David has been working in agriculture since before it was cool. He’s spent time travelling around working on farms in other countries before putting roots down in English soil. He joined RHIZA in 2019, bringing with him a whole host of experience in GPS and crop monitoring technologies. He admires the way that technology and farming can work together seamlessly, and the benefits that come from this relationship…so we reckon he’s working in the right place!

North Business Manager

Fraser has experience in so many areas of the agronomy industry, it’s hard to think of a job he CAN’T do. On his return from his travels around the world in 2011, he decided to try his hand at operations and account management…and the rest is history! Outside of RHIZA, Fraser is always out and about enjoying one of his favourite (extremely active) hobbies – golf, football, rugby or snowboarding. A keen lover of music, he’s even joined fellow Scots Biffy Clyro on stage for a sing-song! Pretty impressive, if we do say so ourselves…

Lothian and Borders Account Manager

When you grew up on a mixed farm with dairy cattle, driving tractors and milking animals, selling cars and windows just doesn’t cut it. So Jack jumped at the opportunity to join RHIZA and get back into agriculture with a career in an industry he loves. When he’s not working, you’ll find him moving around somewhere – either hill walking, cycling, climbing or horse-riding – or getting stopped by security thanks to metal plates from sledging and horse-riding accidents!

Central Business Manager

Growing up in a rural area, Jon always had farming friends and an interest in the countryside. So much so, they even encouraged him to join Young Farmers! He’s been working in agriculture for over six years – covering everything from livestock systems to specialist fertiliser for soil improvement. He joined RHIZA because of his love of ag technology, to help customers use digital and precision tools to manage their farm businesses more effectively. If he’s not rearing livestock at home, you might find him restoring an old fishing boat (despite living nowhere near the sea!)

North Scotland Account Manager

Growing up on a farm, joining the Young Farmers and graduating from SRUC with an honours degree in Rural Business Management with Agriculture, it’s no surprise that Katy ended up working in the agricultural industry. Nearly 6 years on with RHIZA and she still loves the crop walking and account management that got her into this job. Katy could see from early on that digital agriculture and agronomy were becoming a huge part of farming, so she was eager to get involved with the digital agronomy side of the business. When she’s not out stomping the fields in her walking boots, you can find Katy riding through them instead where she spends quality time with her ex-racehorse, Sweep.

South Business Manager

Nathan has always had agriculture in his blood. The first 18 years of his life were spent growing up on a pig farm, and since then he’s worked across all areas of the agricultural business, from pigs and dairy to general farm work to transporting seed, spraying and plenty of field work. It’s been a busy 22 years for him! Nathan’s belief that precision farming is the key to the future of agriculture saw him join RHIZA – and it meant he could get his farming fix without getting his hands dirty! Nathan loves anything to do with being outside in the countryside, but he particularly loves spending his spare time shooting, playing football and cycling. He’s even turned this last hobby into a fantastic way to raise money for charity and in 2017 he cycled from Land’s End to John O’Groats.

Tyne Tees Account Manager

Rob has been with RHIZA for more than ten years, bringing a wealth of knowledge and a background in farming that comes with working on the family farm all his life. He joined RHIZA because he wanted to further develop the link between technology, soils and grower profitability – whilst also continuously looking for the most sustainable solution. He’s a big fan of the outdoors and loves hunting and fishing as well as reading anything from fiction to scientific journals. Rob is also no stranger to a chess board, having once been the junior chess champion of the UK.

Technical Manager

With 25 years of farming experience, and fifteen of those years spent working in agricultural businesses, there’s not much that Sam doesn’t know about rural life. He’s been sharing his technical knowledge and expertise with our team (and our customers!) since he joined us back in 2012. If he’s not on the farm, he’s probably behind the wheel, having won the National Forestry Rally Championship and his class in the British Rally Championship twice! Or you might find him pondering why his dad secretly hoovers the dog before bedtime… yeah, we don’t know why either.

Finmere & Newbury Account Manager

Sarah’s interest in the precision side of farming and the technology involved saw her join RHIZA back in October 2014, but she was involved in agriculture long before this. Growing up on a dairy and sheep farm in Devon, Sarah has never been far removed from farming and studying at Harper Adams, joining the Young Farmers and working harvest periods from a young age has only involved her more and more in the industry. When she’s not out walking the fields, you can find Sarah enjoying her favourite active hobbies – clay shooting, working her labs, playing netball, hockey or battling it out in tug of war.

Andoversford Account Manager

Saul’s love of agriculture saw him get into the business from a young age, helping with lambing and harvests from the age of 16 and getting into arable cropping as soon as he was able to get behind the wheel. This love of all things agriculture also inspired his choice to study and achieve a BSc (Hons) in Agriculture at Harper Adams. Saul joined RHIZA in the summer of 2021, as it combined two of his passions in a perfect mix – agriculture and forward-thinking technology. After a few months working out on a farm in New Zealand, he still absolutely loves being in the great outdoors where he spends time shooting with friends or walking his dog.

Central Scotland Account Manager

Tim has worked in agriculture for over… well… as long as he can remember. First it was as a dairy herd manager for ten years, then it was as a potato growing manager for twelve years. He’s nothing if not diverse. And it sits perfectly with his hobbies of working and gardening! He joined us in 2019 to help farmers improve their farm performance and profitability and that’s where you’re likely to find him – unless you can hear someone butchering Stairway to Heaven, which would be Tim trying to learn to play the guitar in his spare time!

Bartonfields Account Manager

Growing up in the countryside around farms and farmers, Will always had a natural affinity for agriculture. He had his sights set on becoming an engineer, but when he realised he wanted to work in the great outdoors he went back to his roots and decided to study agriculture. He was looking for the chance to be part of the cutting edge of Ag-Tech, so when he came across RHIZA he grabbed the opportunity with both hands. He’s been an account manager since 2017 and hasn’t looked back since! Hailing from the market town of Ashbourne in Derbyshire, he loves taking part in the famous historic annual Shrovetide football match that makes the place a tourist hotspot.
